The Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle, Saturday July 1st 2023 supporting
Emergency Medical Response
We provide pre-hospital emergency care to critically ill and injured patients in their local communities in both rural and urban areas in Ireland, with experienced Volunteer Emergency Medicine Doctors and Medical Responders on the ground. Their rapid response vehicles are kitted out with specialist medical equipment including defibrillators, chest compression systems and suction units as well as advanced medical and trauma kits. This allows the medics to perform complex - often lifesaving - medical procedures, wherever and whenever they’re called upon.
The ROKCC can help us to kit out our volunteers so they can continue their life saving work. It costs an average of €25,000 to establish an Advanced level Volunteer Doctor in the community and €120,000 to put a new Critical Care response vehicle on the road.
Registration for the ROKCC 2023 is now open, and there are some exciting incentives for our participants. By registering, cyclists will receive a free pair of socks to wear during the event. Additionally, those who register will be entered into a draw for a one-week bike training camp in Lanzarote next January, courtesy of Club La Santa (flights not included). However, the ultimate prize is reserved for those who register and raise a minimum of €150, as they will receive all of the above incentives, plus a CRITICAL cycling jersey. So if you're passionate about cycling and want to support a great cause, be sure to register for the ROKCC 2023 today.
iDonate, our online fundraising partner, will help you set up an online fundraising page to raise much needed funds for CRITICAL Emergency Medical Response
